I've always been asked for advice about make up and fashion. I also love writing. So, I have finally decided to start a blog with hopes and goals of becoming a freelance beauty writer.
I've always loved makeup and fashion.
I used to paint my nails ridiculous colors in elementary school and show them off for Show-and-Tell.
I loved reading YM, Seventeen and Teen Vogue in middle school. I remember the first time I wore eye shadow to school in the 6th grade. Well, I tried to at least. My mom made me take it off cause I was "too young." Haha. Little did she know, I'd just reapply it when I got to school until she finally allowed me to wear it in the 8th grade.
After that, it was all uphill for me! Since then, I've been wearing make up religiously. Not for anyone else, but for me. I love it. I love the way it makes me feel. Not to cover up, but to accentuate.
After High School, I worked at Macy's and at Dillard's -both in the cosmetic and fragrance departments. It was love. That is where I learned the great techniques of applying makeup correctly and beautifully. You really do learn new things every single day. At first, it was a little scary having people come to the counter for a make over or tips, but it got easier every single day. (And all the freebies were fun, too!)
I also have a new found love for natural skin care. Especially when you can make it in your own kitchen! I dealt with mild acne until I started to really care about which products I was using on my sensitive skin. Knowing what's going on your skin really works wonders. I'm still learning and experimenting with new things all the time.
Last, but definitely not least, I love fashion. I love reading celebrity gossip blogs, but not sooo much for the gossip but to see the clothes. I don't really like to splurge too much on expensive clothing, especially since they might go out of style within months, so I do affordable shopping. It's really just as fashionable!
So, take a look and enjoy:)
